A long-term revitalization framework designed to support future growth while preserving the character of the downtown district
Appomattox, Virginia needed more than new development. The community needed a plan that could strengthen the downtown area while respecting the character and history already in place.

When State Employees’ Credit Union expanded its branch network across North Carolina, the challenge was not simply designing individual buildings. The work required consistent coordination across dozens of sites with different permitting environments, site conditions, and construction requirements.
Summit developed multiple branch prototypes and coordinated implementation across more than 45 locations statewide. Each site required individual attention while still maintaining consistency across the broader program.
